Guidelines for a Safe and Beneficial Ramadan

1. Community Iftar:

Community Iftar will be prepared throughout the month of Ramadan. If you would like to sponsor Iftar, partially or fully, please contact the Main Office [224]. Please do not pay your Kifarrah money to the Iftar program.

2. Taraweeh Prayers:

Taraweeh prayer will begin, immediately after Isha, on Friday August 21, 2009 with Isha prayer starting promptly at 9:30 PM. On September 15 the time for Salatul Isha will be moved up to 8:45PM and Taraweeh will begin immediately following Isha. ADAMS will be offering 20 Rakat each evening. There will be a 5-7 minute Khatera after four rakat. Tahajjud Prayer will ONLY be held during the last ten days of Ramadan.

3. Parents with Children:

Parents with children may use the third floor musallah for Salatul ‘Isha and Taraweeh. Please keep in mind children should still be encouraged to maintain the appropriate etiquette of the Masjid during prayer time. Children are not aware of how to behave unless we teach them. Therefore, if your child requires a reminder, it is the responsibility of the parent to gently remind them through kind words and emphasize this through example.

4. Children's Program:

- Ages 1-6 should go to babysitting in the lower level of the Center.
- Ages 7 and up should pray ‘Isha and Taraweeh with their parents in the Musallah on the third (3rd) floor
- Adult supervision is required for all children under the age of 15.

5. Fundraising Program:

Special fundraising programs for ADAMS Operational Expenses and our ADAMS Masjid Expansion Project will be held throughout the month. Please donate generously or pledge monthly to our regular programs, Phase III prayer hall construction, and future satellite locations.
