Procedures for getting married at the ADAMS Center. Please allow for seven days for processing.

The following procedures are important and to be completed before getting married at ADAMS Center:

1. Obtain a marriage license from the local county courthouse in the county in which you reside, and fax it to ADAMS. The following locations are for the VA, and DC residents:

A) Fairfax County Court House (703-691-7320)

B) Arlington County Court House (703-228-4510)

C) Loudoun County Court House (703-777-0270)

D) Alexandria County Court House (703-838-5046)

2. Fill out Request for Service form for pre-marital counseling datesand marriage date and location

3. Both Bride and Groom along with the representatives must fill out the Marriage Application and Pre-Marital Contact one week prior to the date of the Nikkah performed.

4. The original license MUST be submitted one week prior to the wedding, in person, in order for it to be processed by the ADAMS Center administration.

5. Three sessions of counseling before marriage is highly recommended, and it is without any cost. The days for the counseling are Tuesday evening and Thursday afternoon. Please call and set up an appointment before coming and complete the 100 Premarital Counseling Questions.

6. Both parties must agree on the amount of Dowry.

7. There will be NO last minute weddings and NO marriage information processed over the phone
