On Sept 10, 2005 at 6pm-9pm, Muslim, Christian, Jewish, and Sikh Faith members to hold 4th Annual PEACE Gathering at the ADAMS Center.

On Sept 10, 2005 at 11am, ADAMS Imam will preside over funeral in New York for ADAMS Center Member¡¦s Family that were Muslim Victims of 9/11 Terrorist Attacks

On Sept 11, 2005 at 1:30pm-4:00pm, ADAMS to take part in Interfaith Unity Walk in DC on 9/11 from Washington Hebrew Congregation, to the Islamic Center.

WHAT: On Saturday, September 10, 2005 and Sunday September 11, 2005, members of the All Dulles Area Muslim society(ADAMS) will conduct and take part in many interfaith activities. In this time of reflection, our hearts are with the victims and the families of the victims of the September 11th tragedy and our prayers are for peace and compassion. Through getting to know one another on a personal level, people of different faiths can build bridges of understanding respect, and tolerance. American Muslims Condemn Terrorism and Extremism.

On Saturday September 10, 2005 at 6pm-9pm, ADAMS will hold the 4th Annual Interfaith PEACE Gathering at the ADAMS Center in Sterling, VA, in remembrance of the victims of the World Trade Center and Pentagon attacks. Representatives of Christian, Jewish, and Sikh Faiths will be represented and speaking at this event. ADAMS will also be honoring Local Police and Fire Departments for their continuous community service. Local Government Officials will also be speaking at this event.

On Saturday September 10, 2005 at 11am, ADAMS Center Executive Director, Imam Mohamed Magid will preside over the funeral services in New York(7602 Rockaway Blvd, Woodhaven, NY 11421) for recently confirmed Muslim Victims of 9/11 Terrorist Attacks at the World Trade Center. The Daugther(Ms. Shakila Yasmin) and Son-In Law(Nurul Haque Mian) of Mr. Sharif A.Chowdhury(Member of ADAMS) were among the victims that were killed on 9/11 and their remains were confirmed by DNA testing just recently.

On Sunday September 11, 2005 at 1:30pm-4:00pm, The ADAMS community will also participate in the Interfaith Unity Walk(www.dcunitywalk.com) in Washington DC from Washington Hebrew Congregation to the Islamic Center. The Walk starts at 3935 Macomb Street, NW Washington, DC 20016. This unprecedented 9/11 Unity Walk will be launched at Washington Hebrew Congregation by the renowned Abrahamic Partners, Ambassador Akbar Ahmed of American University, Episcopal Bishop John Chane, and their host Senior Rabbi Bruce Lustig. The Purpose Statement for the 9/11 Unity Walk reads: ¡§We walk together as neighbors from many faiths and cultures. We gather in peace to demonstrate our unity, recalling the spirit of togetherness that grew out of 9/11. We commemorate this day because concern for each other¡¦s welfare is the shared hope of us all.
