BOC Nominations 2025

Branch Operations Committees Nominations Information

Assalaamu Alaykum,

We thank you for your dedication and volunteer efforts in supporting your community. The ADAMS Board of Trustees (BOT) has initiated a Branch Operation Committee (BOC) refresh this Summer 2025 for all BOCs across all branches. As our community grows it is good to look and tap into new talent and fresh volunteers who have dedicated their time and effort into building their local branch communities. This is a time to identify those individuals and invite them to a leadership position at their branch.

Some branches have a seven-person committee while others have a fourteen-person committee. We have decided to use a seven-person committee across all branches. We have also decided to modify the roles the BOT will appoint to more relevant community building roles.

General Requirements for a BOC member

  • Must be a current ADAMS member
  • Must be an active volunteer for at least two years at the branch and active attendance to branch services, activities and events.
  • Agree with the core values of ADAMS and its mission and vision.

BOC Structure

It is a seven-person committee and the AOI designated Imam:

  • Chair: Coordinate and manage branch operations reporting to the Executive Director. Make sure all programming at the branch is able to execute with the available resources.
  • Vice chair: Supports the chair.
  • Treasurer: Works with accounting/donations to manage budget and donations.
  • Secretary: Coordinates all branch communication with Marketing dept. Take branch meeting notes.
  • Qurtuba: Supports Qurtuba lead programming efforts.
  • Youth: Supports Youth Department programming efforts.
  • Children: Supports Children’s Committee programming efforts.
  • Imam (ADAMS Office of the Imams designated): Designated Imam to manage all religious affairs at branch level
  • Branch Subcommittees will remain the same and up to each BOC which ones they want to establish and continue. Examples of subcommittees can be cash collecting, fundraising, youth, operations, construction, sisters, sports, etc. This empowers the BOC to utilize their volunteers to support additional roles/services that are needed for their specific branch.

What about the existing other roles:

The BOC can select volunteers and/or create subcommittees from the community to continue the efforts related to those roles including Branch Development, Education, Social Services, Outreach and any other roles the BOC see fit for their branch.
Submit nominations here for consideration for the next BOCs

Estimated Timeline:

  • Nominations due by July 18, 2025
  • BOT formally set BOCs by July 25, 2025.
  • New BOCs start August 1, 2025
