Assalamu alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuhu. We hope this message finds you all in the best of health. As you know, the situation in Gaza is very dire, as water, electricity, fuel, and telecommunications have been cut off, over 10,000 civilians – mostly women and children – have been killed by indiscriminate bombing and shelling. The entire Muslim world has risen in support of their brothers and sisters, and we wanted to update the community on what ADAMS has been doing for our brothers and sisters as well.
While we are proud of how our community has responded to the needs of our brothers and sister in Palestine – to relieve, advocate, and pray for their plight – we also understand that our efforts pale in comparison to what is actually needed in this moment. We ask Allah swt to accept what we have already done, and to grant us the tawfiq to expand our efforts.
In the end, we don’t place our hope in our efforts or the efforts of anyone else. We place our hope in the mercy and compassion of Allah, the Most Merciful, Most Beneficent, and trust that He will put barakah in the efforts across the world and bring peace, justice, and mercy to the people of Gaza in particular and Palestine in general.
