My name is Aneela Rehman, and I was born in Alexandria, VA and raised in Annandale, VA. My parents came to the US in 1969. I currently live in Leesburg, VA, with my two sons, Mahir and Ayaan Rehman, who are active members of the ADAMS Center. I am the CEO of ARCG Solutions and hold certifications from Salesforce. I joined the ADAMS community in 2013 as the first female HR/Admin Director. Since then, I have dedicated myself to providing the best possible service to our community, ensuring every member leaves the ADAMS Center with a positive and memorable experience. In my role, I have been responsible for drafting policies and procedures to guide staff and organizational operations. I am passionate about serving Zakat candidates with compassion and integrity, and helping to develop programs that empower our youth. My goal is to uphold the strength of our community and increase transparency so that we continue to grow and thrive together.

Assalāmu ʿAlaykum, My name is Asma Saqib, and I have been blessed to be part of the ADAMS community since 2004. Alhamdulillah, I have had the privilege of serving at ADAMS for 15 years in various roles within the Education Department. I am also the mother of two Huffādh from the ADAMS Taḥfīdh al-Qur’ān program, both of whom are now contributing back to the community by serving in various ADAMS Qur’ānic education programs. Over the past 21 years, I have volunteered in many capacities—supporting the administrative office with Br. Khalid Iqbal, contributing to the Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts programs, assisting with the Taḥfīdh al-Qur’ān program, and serving in the ADAMS Leesburg education programs and subcommittees. One of my most meaningful accomplishments was leading the development and implementation of the ADAMS Student Management System (2019–2020), which continues to serve as a vital tool for principals and education program leaders. To this day, I provide ongoing support for its use as and when I am approached, Alhamdulillah. Professionally, I am a certified Salesforce Administrator and currently work as a Salesforce Business Analyst. My deep familiarity with ADAMS processes, combined with my professional expertise, motivates me to continue serving our community in meaningful ways, Inshā’Allah. I still remember the day in 2004 standing in Madina store asking for a local masjid when I was led to a location from where ADAMS had moved out a couple of years earlier. The disconnection with only masjid in the area was shocking. I have always believed that connecting people to the masjid is like connecting them to Allah, the Lord Almighty. I became actively engaged in ADAMS activities and joined the ADAMS Badminton and Toastmasters clubs. In 2015, I received training as a volunteer Friday Khateeb from Dr. Wa’ile Alkhairo and Shaykh Abd Ar-Rafaa, after which I began delivering khutbahs at several ADAMS locations. As a volunteer, I also taught IT courses at the ADAMS Sully Center and actively participated in Ramadan arrangements and monthly potlucks before the pandemic. Professionally, I hold a Ph.D. and an M.S. in Industrial Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh, as well as an M.S. in Cybersecurity from New York University. I also served as an adjunct professor at a local university for five years. I am a Senior Member of IEEE and have held leadership roles such as manager, team lead, and coach at various companies. Currently, I am an active ADAMS volunteer Khateeb, delivering Friday prayer lectures at several ADAMS locations. I now wish to volunteer further by promoting ADAMS’ vision of enriching our Muslim community with Islamic education, social support, and religious activities. With complete submission to Allah and seeking His guidance, I express my intention to join the ADAMS Board of Trustees to better serve our community if elected.

Muhammad Tariq Shazlee resides in Gainesville, Virginia, and has served Muslim communities in the DMV region for over 20 years. His dedication focuses on governance, youth development, education, and sustainable organizational and community growth. Br. Tariq brings more than 27 years of experience as an IT Executive and Cybersecurity Leader, working across commercial, federal, and nonprofit sectors, including NASA-affiliated Challenger Center. He holds a B.E. in Computer Systems Engineering and certifications in CISSP, PMP, and ITIL Foundation. At ADAMS Gainesville, Br. Tariq serves on the Branch Operations Committee and is a member of the Governance Committee at ADAMS Center. He co-led Ramadan operations at Gainesville for the last two years, regularly delivers Friday khutbahs, and successfully led the Gainesville fundraising campaign, raising $2.5 million in under a year for Phase 1 construction. He is also close to completing the ADAMS Certificate Program (13 of 15 courses). Vision for ADAMS:

Assalamu Alaikum, Nabil Rahman has been a resident of Virginia for the past 25 years. Originally from India, he was born and raised in Dubai. Throughout the years, he has been actively involved with the ADAMS community. As a Healthcare IT business owner, Nabil brings extensive professional experience in the public and private sector. He has spearheaded various community-driven initiatives, addressing both local Loudoun County issues and serving as the Branch Operations Committee lead at ADAMS-Ashburn. He has organized Ramadan Interfaith Events with Loudoun County leaders, Hosted Neighbor luncheon, Established daily Isha/Fajr Khatera program, and coordinated the Will Planning Seminar, Youth Education Program (YEP), and a Ramadan Education Series. He adopts a servant leadership approach emphasizing critical thinking, fact-based decision making, collaboration, and mutual respect. His goals include:

Assalamu Alaykum, My name is Saba Asad, and I’ve had the blessing of calling Virginia, and the ADAMS community, home for over 15 years. As a mother of two and former PTO President at Radiant Hearts Academy, I’ve always believed in nurturing the next generation through service and unity. I had the honor of serving as ADAMS Center’s Marketing Lead for four years, including during the pivotal COVID period. Today, I continue that mission through Minar360, a startup app my team is building to connect halal restaurants, Muslim-owned businesses, and masajid with the ummah. I have also volunteered with the ADAMS Leesburg branch and currently support ACHN’s marketing efforts. With experience in strategic planning, communications, and community-building, I hope to re-engage our youth, strengthen internal processes and communication, and help uplift the work environment for the staff and volunteers serving our community through ADAMS Center. It would be an honor to serve on the board and contribute to a stronger, more connected ummah, together inshaAllah.

My name is Saba Baig. I reside in Ashburn with my husband and four children. In my free time, I enjoy reading, journaling, trying new recipes, being outdoors, and spending time with family and friends. It has been an honor to serve on the ADAMS Board this past year, and I am seeking re-election to continue strengthening our community. I bring over 25 years of experience as an educator, mentor, and leader in schools and community organizations. I have taught at both public and Islamic schools, most recently as an elementary teacher at Al Fatih Academy. I am also currently training to work with individuals with autism and special needs, furthering my dedication to inclusive education. At ADAMS, I have served as a Girl Scout leader, MIST coach, and representative on the LCPS Equity Committee. I helped launch the MSA at Independence High School and worked with LCPS to secure permanent prayer spaces and wudu stations in new schools. I have spoken at numerous interfaith events, serve as Chair of the ADAMS ACE team, and am a board member of the ADAMS ACHN board. I also worked with the ADAMS New Muslim Group and our Imams to create welcoming spaces for converts and reverts, hosting events and Iftars to strengthen belonging. Goals if Re-Elected:

My name is Sana Pasha. I joined the ADAMS community in 1998, when I first started college. I have lived in this community ever since and have benefited immensely from it—from attending Imam Magid's Friday night halaqas at Grove Street-ADAMS to finding my closest friends in the ADAMS girls’ youth group. I had the pleasure of serving as a teacher in Saturday school, and have volunteered in different capacities over the years and on various committees including Zakat, Eid, Education, Women's and Refugee Relief. Professionally, I was a software engineer, working mainly as a government contractor. I am now a stay-at-home mother of my 4 children, who also benefit greatly from this community. I have served on the board of the Peaceful Families Project and was chairman of the board of the Mission One Ummah Foundation. I currently serve in an advisory capacity for the Thrive Center in Fairfax, VA, with programming geared towards Muslim women. I also serve as an advisor for the ZamZam Project, a non-profit YouTube channel that teaches simple tafseer of the Quran. It would be my honor to serve as a board member for ADAMS Center and give back to this community that has given so much to me.
