Empowering Muslim-American youth through music,
confidence-building, and multi-faith service.
ADAMS BEAT is America’s first and only Masjid youth choir, actively involved in multi-faith and advocacy work. It is comprised of Muslim-American youth between the ages of 7 and 16 from Northern Virginia. ADAMS BEAT has performed at the U.S. Department of State, John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, Washington National Cathedral, the Northern Virginia Baha’i Center, The Climate March, and many other places of worship and venues in front of elected officials.
ADAMS BEAT is also the first Muslim group to sing the National Anthem at any U.S. professional ball game.
The choir has provided vocals for more than 22 music videos for the Awakening Records MiniMuslims project, which have surpassed 160 million views worldwide. They have collaborated with numerous faith-based choirs and were featured by the Aspen Institute for their leadership in youth involvement in multi-faith work.
ADAMS BEAT was founded in 2016 by its Music Director, Hurunnessa Fariad.
