Join Qahwa Cafe for a 5-week series on The Salahuddin Generation: Lessons for Our Time featuring Ust. Shad Imam!
Many of us look at the state of the ummah today and feel overwhelmed by division, loss, and uncertainty. But this is not the first time Muslims have faced a moment of weakness and hardship. Before the rise of Salahuddin, the Muslim world was also struggling with disunity, spiritual decline, and crisis. So what changed, and what can that generation teach us about faith, unity, and revival today?
In this weekly series, we will follow Yaqeen Institute’s The Salahuddin Generation, an 11-episode series exploring the people, events, and spiritual lessons surrounding the era of Salahuddin. Through teaching, guided discussion, and community reflection, we will explore how the history of the Salahuddin generation speaks to many of the challenges, emotions, and questions Muslims continue to carry today.
Participants are encouraged to watch the episodes on their own time, while each gathering will help us better understand the historical context, key lessons, and relevance of the Salahuddin generation. Sessions feature through peer-led discussions and PowerPoint reflections.

History Reflections is our interactive weekly series for adults ages 18+ as we explore history through a spiritual lens and reflect on what the legacy of Salahuddin can teach us about our own time.
Doors open at 6:45pm for coffee and connection with the event beginning at 7:00pm and taking place in Qawah cafe. It is highly encouraged to get a free ticket a free help us estimate audience size and donations are graciously appreciated to help support future events. We look forward to your attendance!
About Ustaadh Shad Imam
Shad Imam is married with 4 children and lives with his family in Sterling, VA. He obtained his MBA from the University of Maryland in May of 2007 with a concentration in Organizational Management and Strategy. He has studied the Islamic Sciences under Imam Mohamed Magid & Dr. Sherman Jackson. Ust. Shad is a decades long member of the ADAMS Center community and conducts regular lectures in the Northern Virginia Area.
