About the Documentary
Produced by Unity Productions Foundation (UPF), The Great Muslim American Road Trip is a nationally broadcast three-part documentary series that follows a young Muslim American couple on a 3,000-mile journey across historic Route 66.
Along the way, they encounter builders, bakers, entrepreneurs, educators, artists, physicians, students, and community leaders whose stories illuminate the deep roots, diversity, and enduring contributions of Muslims throughout American history. Through these personal encounters, the series reveals a chapter of America’s story that many have never had the opportunity to discover.
