Who am I? Who am I not?
Join us for our final session of our summer series. We have discussed who we are and who we are not, and now we will answer together— who should we be?
Allah SWT has revealed to us in His book and through the example of His Messenger ﷺ the blueprint to become Mu’minoon (believers). How can we understand the steps we need to take to transform ourselves and cement our identities in the vision of who we should become?
Who are we? Who are you? Who should be become? Together, in conversation with Imam Mohamed Magid and Ustadha Kouthar Muttardy, we will take a deep dive into the Qur’anic ocean to find our own reflections.
Join us for a summer series of UmmaTea sessions, exploring the answer to the existential reflection— who am I? With the Qur’an as our guide, each session will begin with a tadabbur (reflection) exercise where we practice contemplating on an ayah from the Qur’an. The ayah will frame our discussion, where we will explore who we are, and how we can find ourselves.
UmmaTea is a community space where we enjoy fresh chai, refreshments, and blessed company. Bring a friend or two, come alone, or as a newcomer as all are welcome.
Please be advised that this is a program for those 21+, and that children will be required to remain with their parents at all times. Community members over 40 will be asked to make a small contribution to allow us to keep this program free for young adults and young professionals.
