Imam Kebba Sallah was born and raised in the Washington D.C. area. He graduated from Virginia Tech University with a bachelors degree in Computer Engineering and has 13 years of consulting industry experience. In early 2023, Imam Kebba transitioned his career to become an Imam for the ADAMS Center community.
In addition to his corporate background, Imam Kebba has completed memorization of the Holy Quran and has ijaazah in Qiraat Hafs An Assim. He has been a student of knowledge for many years having studied Islamic sciences such as Maliki Fiqh, Aqeedah, Uloom Al-Hadith, Tafseer, Tazkiyah, and Tajweed with local and international teachers. He is a student of Imam Mohamed Magid, Sheikh Abd Ar-Rafa, and other U.S. based scholars. He has studied classical Arabic language at Qasid Institute in Amman, Jordan for a brief period and then returned to serve the community while pursuing advanced Arabic mastery with local scholars. He studied briefly at the Boston Islamic Seminary before transitioning to his current pursuit of traditional Ijaazaat in the Islamic sciences.
He has led taraweeh, daily prayers, Khutbas, and Halaqaat for over 10 years at ADAMS and other institutions in the Northern Virginia area. He has served on the board of multiple Islamic institutions and has extensive experience with youth development and has led local youth mentoring programs for nearly a decade within the Northern Virginia community.
