Weekly with Imam Kebba Sallah | ADAMS Sully | Tuesdays after Maghrib (time adjusts with prayer) | Starting October 21
This weekly circle is a guided study of selected passages from Imām Ibn al-Qayyim’s Ighāthat al-Lahfān min Maṣāyid al-Shayṭān—a classic on spiritual psychology and self-reform. Together we’ll explore how the Qur’an and Sunnah diagnose the states of the heart (sound, diseased, dead), expose the tactics of Shayṭān (from doubt and desire to distraction and excess), and chart practical remedies rooted in tawḥīd, dhikr, repentance, sincere worship, and disciplined character.
Building on the inner dimensions of Islam, the class emphasizes the inner Sunnah—aligning intentions, emotions, and habits with prophetic guidance. Each week we will read selected passages that provide reflection prompts, helping us connect insights to family life, work, and worship. The aim is not abstract theory but lived practice: learning these principles together and striving to apply them in daily interactions and personal growth.
Format: Reading from the text • Instructor explanation • Guided discussion • Practical reflections to take home
Who it’s for: Anyone seeking to defend themselves from Shayṭān’s traps, strengthen their heart, become a better Muslim, and draw closer to Allah
Schedule: Weekly, every Tuesday after Maghrib (time adjusts with prayer) • Starting October 21 • Ongoing (no end date)
