Fulfil an important part of your faith by donating your Zakat with ADAMS this Ramadan!
“My mercy encompasses all things, but I will specify it for the righteous who give Zakah.” – Quran 7:156
Zakat is our duty, but it’s also so much more than that! It’s an opportunity for us to do real good in our communities and help provide support to those who truly need it, as decreed by Allah (swt).
It’s our chance to seek Allah’s (swt) mercy, earn His favor and rewards that will benefit us in this life and the next.
ADAMS Zakat fund is primarily to help support our Social and Wellness services so we can better serve our community. Those services include but are not limited to:
Zakat Assistance (General): This service aims to provide financial assistance for various essential needs such as rent, utilities, addressing food insecurity, minor car repairs, and other emergent expenses to eligible members of our community.
Zakat Assistance for the Elderly and Individuals Living with Disabilities: Specifically tailored to cater to the needs of elderly individuals and those living with disabilities, this service provides additional support to ensure their well-being and quality of life.
Mental Health Program: Our Mental Health Program offers access to mental health treatment and counseling services, aiming to promote emotional well-being and provide support to individuals facing mental health challenges within our community.
Food Pantry: Through our onsite food pantry, we endeavor to address food insecurity by providing nutritious food items to those in need within our community, fostering a sense of dignity and support.
Ramadan Food Bags: During the holy month of Ramadan, we prepare and distribute Ramadan food packages to support members of our community who struggle with food insecurity, ensuring they have food for themselves and their families for iftar/suhoor.
Tuition Assistance for ADAMS Educational Programs: This service offers financial aid to individuals seeking to enroll in educational programs offered by ADAMS, ensuring that access to knowledge and skill development is not limited by financial constraints.
Funeral Services (Janazah Financial Assistance): In times of bereavement, we provide financial assistance to cover the expenses associated with Janazah (Islamic funeral rites), easing the burden on grieving families within our community.
Support Groups: We facilitate support groups moderated by qualified therapists to provide a nurturing environment for individuals facing various challenges, offering a space for mutual support, understanding, and healing within our community.
These services collectively aim to enhance the social and wellness aspects of our community, empowering individuals and families to lead healthier, more fulfilling lives. Help us reach our donation target of $90,000 this Ramadan.
