Why does evil exist? What is, if anything, the point of pain? And how could a loving and just God allow suffering and injustice to exist?
Explore the answers to these questions in more as Qahwa hosts an interactive discussion on the nature of hardship and suffering with Dr. Daoud Nassimi. In this talk, we will discuss the philosophical origins and purposes of evil, examining how personal trials, tribulations, and even suffering in this life are can truly be a higher invitation to resilience, purpose, and trust with the Divine.
Featuring a talk broken up by a discussions, this unique event invites attendees to ponder questions as they work toward conclusions themselves. Topics discussed will include but are not limited to war, oppression, poverty, death, and natural disaster as we explore suffering from both the objective sense and the subjective sense of how we can deal with suffering in our everyday lives.
Open to attendees 16+, tickets are free but donations are greatly appricated to help fund future events! We hope to see you there!
