**Course Description**:
In this short lecture series we will explore the Islamic calendar, its profound sacredness, and its integral role in shaping the cultural and religious practices of Muslims around the world. Students will delve into the structure and unique features of the lunar Islamic calendar and its connection to significant events in Islamic history.

The course will also examine the spiritual significance of the Islamic months in the context of worship and personal reflection. Emphasis will be placed on the religious observances and acts of worship tied to specific dates. Throughout, students will explore how the Islamic calendar serves not only as a timekeeping system but as a framework for spiritual development and community cohesion.

By the end of the course, students will gain a deeper appreciation for the sacred nature of time within Islam, the role the calendar plays in fostering communal bonds, and how understanding the Islamic calendar enriches one’s engagement with Islamic faith and heritage.
